Have You Got The 3 Major Assets That Help Ideal Clients Buy From You?

People Buy From People they like - Here's a thought, why should they buy from you?

Have you got The 3 Major Assets That Help Ideal Clients Buy From You?
People buy from people they like. Have you got the three major assets that help your ideal clients buy from you?

It's easy to understand why people should buy from you once they have decided they are in the market for the product or service you supply.

They look for someone they:
  • Already know and like
  • Trust
  • Respect
  • Can work with
  • Has a good reputation

They form an opinion based on what they see online and off. Often business is undertaken without the client ever meeting you face to face. With the help of Skype and Zoom meetings can and do take place across the globe. Offline a chance meeting can be out networking equally it can be stood waiting for the start of a film, on the train. A gesture, a kindness, even a simple smile can start a conversation that leads to building a relationship that works for both parties.

Often before they discuss working with you potential clients are searching online and weighing up if you are the person and business they want to work with. They are looking for Social Proof.  They talk to their friends, listen to what is being said when your name is mentioned. They formulate an opinion on how visible you and your business is whilst building a business relationship.
  1. Are you trustworthy?
  2. Do they respect you for the service you provide?
  3. Are you easy to work with?
You can be the best on the market but will you get the job if you have been deemed difficult to work with or known for not giving value.

Yes of course price comes into it however many good clients will wait until they are at a point where they can't afford not to hire you as in their eyes you are the only go to person to help them move their business forward.

Not everyone is your ideal client

When you are starting out there is a feeling that every order is vital to the success of your business. Along the way you begin to realise that some clients take up far more time then others. The strange fact is that its normally the ones that have beaten you down on price. I used to sell toys and learned along the way that giving a discount in any shape or form normally meant something would go wrong, a missing part, a difficult delivery, the client would go on holiday, yes it did happen. In the end we would politely tell the client if we gave discount it was bound to go wrong. Most would understand this wasn't a ploy, on the rare occasion we gave discount - we were proved right and by the time it was sorted out there was frustration on both sides and no profit.

It is your business and you are allowed to pick and choose who you want to work with. A good rule of thumb is don't work with people you don't like.

Has your potential client got what it takes to get the job completed?

Have you weighed up?
  • Are they ready to work with you?
  • Are they engaged enough to follow through and help complete the work?
  • Are they going to be easy to work with?
'You are vital to the success of my business' works both ways, as much as a client wants your service you also want to achieve as much as you can to help their them and their business move forward.
