Post meeting:
You never know if a networking meeting is going to be a success. For my part this meeting meant I could meet up with clients I had only had conversation with on zoom or face time. I also met people I had previously met in March at Coffee & Natter in Bromsgrove and of course new faces that led to brilliantly interesting conversations.
What else happened - the Channel Four film crew turned up and not only filmed my presentation but also spoke and interviewed many of the business owners in the room. This very much hits home that we really never know who is watching and how many opportunities come out of networking.

How do you promote an event? Is it your workshop, a networking meeting, a webinar? Is it online or offline? There is a massive amount of work to be done that doesn't even take into consideration the content and soucing a venue. Here's just 12 questions and of some of the areas to cover. This is by no means a complete overview but its a start. 1. Where is your audience? 2. How do they like to be contacted? 3. How can you find them? it takes time, popping an image on your facebook feed rarely gets the results you are looking for. There is a whole process to go through and this starts months before your event. 4. What system or platform already have people who engage with your posts. 5. Are you in other people's group, check out the rules can you post there? 6. Will people be joining you from other timezones? 7. How will you capture their details if they mention they are interested in commenting on a different post? 8. Have you got permission to email them? 9. Can you use your online AND offline networking contacts? 10.How will they remember? 11.Do you have software where you can plan your email campaign? 12. What social media platforms do you already use. Have you made your profile and bio clear enough for people to understand how you can help them? Want to see a selection we have produced, go to 'Useful Webinars and take a look.
