Kim Bennett (www.beautycellar.co.uk) and I bumped into each other on Facebook. I am always surprised when people shy away from social media I have made so many friends, been invited to join summits, write books, speak at networking events, radio and even conventions. Alongside all the perks arrive clients and the strangest request I ever received was a Facebook message "Gill can you help get me off the streets, can you make me a spectacular website?"
Kim has been one of those lovely Avon ladies for 10 years, her mother still is with over 50 years of selling Avon. Kim is part of her community, she leads a truly motivated team and decided it was time to grow. Her aim was to have a website that would make her stand out from the type you normally find with network marketing.
Kim had been brilliant to work with, is dedicated to growing her business and introducing more team members to the famous Top rated Beauty and Cosmetic Company - AVON. Kim works alongside the excellent training supplied by Avon helping her team members to grow their businesses and earn additional income. What started out as a way to earn more to put her daughter through college has become her full-time passion and the website we have designed reflects this. Her words 'I never imagined an Avon lady could achieve this type of website, it stands out from anything I've ever seen'
Websites are never finished and along the way, we managed to impress upon Kim that she had to keep it up to date with interesting content via her built-in blog system that can be done 24/7. Having a sharing tool helps her visitors to post her pages to their friends meaning they could, even at different parts of the country start business as buddies.
"The best part of being part of Avon is that you are in business for yourself, but you are not by yourself"
What we got out of it.
Kim's logo and brand were one of those instant moments whilst during our first meeting, Chris had a full picture of images in his mind, what you see today is very much unchanged from the original concept. As we put forward our ideas, with Kim working on the other end of a zoom meeting and sharing a completely active transparent website, she could see every addition and alteration we made, she was able to make the website her own whilst it was in the designing stage and because of Kim's flexibility we have made branded infographics to demonstrate how team building works.
It takes a lot of understanding and drawing out of information from a new client especially when they have been emotionally attached to their business with determination to do the best for her clients for many years. She has a fine eye for detail and has ensured we didn't deflect from the Brand in any way. A skillset that has a definite advantage when working with clients of her calibre.
